This is when you learn to be patient....

So we're in the last week or so.....and it's going so slow! The end of the year really starts to test your patience....I don't really have a lot to say, but I wanted to post some pics of Springfest, so you all know a little bit of what happened. It was a blast, except for the 23-30 mph winds that blew all day long....So here are some pictures, enjoy =)

ELIZA AND BRUCE GOT ENGAGED!!!

We smashed a van!!!

We had bungee races!!!

And there was a mechanical bull!!!

There was so much to do!!! It was a great day!

Until next time,

The Home Strech!

Well, I have less than a week left of class....I am so excited! I mean, I really love being in school because all of my friends are here. But after about 9 months I'm ready for a break from homework, reading, exams, and going to bed after midnight on a daily basis. But the end of the year means 2 things for me....Springfest and my birthday!!!
Springfest is my favorite event of the entire year, and it takes place this Saturday! This year we have 3 major bands coming...Quiet Drive, Danger Is My Middle Name, and Treaty of Paris!! And...we have a mechanical bull, bungee cord things, inflatable obstacle courses and so much more!!! It is so fun to just chill with friends before we have to crack down and get ready for finals and moving home.
And my birthday is the next weekend....so of course it will be fun!!!
Well, with it being the last week of class....life gets pretty crazy. But the snow is gone so being able to do homework outside, have cookouts, and relax outside are wonderful stress relievers!
With that said, I should get back to work!

spring is in the air!

Hey everyone!
So the snow if finally all gone! The grass is getting green! And tulips are starting to pop out of the ground! I am very exited about that! No more snow! It's cold, but I can still handle that, for a while at least!
I think there are only like 15 days of class left....I think. Something like that! Which is wonderful because I need a break from homework and reading. But I get so bored during the summer! Well, spring fest is coming up, which is my favorite festivity on campus! So when I know more about what will be going on I will let you know, I do know that Treaty of Paris will be here performing live!!!
Well, back to work. More to come later!

Back to School

Well, it's the first week back to class after spring break. It is going by really fast, but that is a good thing, to me at least. Breaks are nice, but I love when everyone is back on campus. So we only have a few weeks left until summer vacation! The next big campus wide event is Spring Fest which takes place around the end of April, right before finals. It is one of my favorite things that happens on campus because literally, everyone goes. We have "throw a pie" contests, mechanical bulls, bungee jumps, cooler races(they are like go-karts) and so much more. The big event that day is the concert at night! This year Treaty of Paris is coming!! It should be a blast. My birthday is coming up to, so that is another thing to look forward to! Well, this is going to be a short post because life on campus has been pretty calm, mostly because everyone just got back, and it takes about a week to get back in the swing of things. You should check out the calender of events on the homepage at www.ripon.edu to see what is all going on. For now, I'm going to get back to work. Oh, and Happy First Day of Spring!!!

One day at a time....

So there is still snow on the ground but it is melting fairly fast. My dad told me back home in Berlin they probably lost 8 inches because of it melting. I've decided to take it one day at a time, as long as there is not snow on my birthday, May 3, I will be a happy camper. But I think we will be cutting it close.

Well, Spring break is now in full swing. Want to hear a sad story? I could be down in Mexico right now, tanning on the beach, scuba diving, and relaxing with friends. If only I would have said yes to going. Oh well, I'll work, earn some money, and go shopping!

Last week was amazing! Normally mid-term week is the worst week of the semester...the week before spring break, exams, and the fact that the lack of sleep starts catching up. But this year I only had 1 exam, and since I wasn't going anywhere exciting for spring break I had nothing to distract me. It would have been harder but two of my professors changed the exams to the week we come back from break.

Even though we had mid-terms my friends and I found a way to relax...well kind of. I'm sure you've all played Twister. It's my favorite game. Well, it's relaxing because we don't do homework or study, but it's stressful because you really don't want to fall.

Anyways, today at work we are having a potluck. Potluck days are my favorite days! So I should probably finish my work so I can go eat.

Love!

A Cinderella Weekend!

Katie had the Cinderella story of the weekend!!!

Look at all the bling the girls brought home!!!
Parker broke the oldest record on Ripon's record board!!

Yet again, a new week. However, I'm pretty sure I had the most amazing weekend ever!!!! This last weekend was the Midwest Conference Swimming and Diving Champianships. Girls got 3rd!!! It was the first time ever in history that the girls team has ever had a top 3 finish. It was pretty freakin' amazing! We even threw our coach in the water!!Now swimming is over, and I have no idea what to do with all my spare time. I already miss being in the water, and it has only been 2 days. Now I enjoy my afternoons by taking naps, long naps.
I love my relay!!!!
The boys did pretty amazing as well!!!

So, if you couldn't tell by my last post, I hate snow. And guess what, it snowed again. I went to move my car so the parking lots could get plowed and I had snow up to the middle of my windows, and least a foot on top of my entire car. It was like driving an igloo. I should have taken a picture, but I was more focused on speed since the snow I was standing in came up to my mid-thighs. I was quite cold. The plant department broke out the heavy duty salt to throw down...it is blue...which means the ground, ice, and snow are all blue. It's like living in a blue world.
Classes are stil going well. I'm ready for a break...luckily spring break is only in like 2 weeks. I can't wait. I will be working the entire time, but it will be nice to not worry about going to class and doing homework.
Well, I hope you're all staying warm and unfrozen. I should get back to work.
Until next time,
Jess

The Snow Won't Stop Falling!!!!!

So this is going to be a short post. But who is ready for spring? I know that I am! The snow needs to melt and the sun should come out so the flowers can grow and the grass can get all nice and fluffy (the Ripon College grass is unbeliveably soft!)

Spring break is only 3 weeks away! I'm terribly excited! So here is my plan....everyone who reads this should just THINK SPRING! Maybe mother nature will get the hint!

I mean, who doesn't want to pull out the cute shoes, cute little dresses....Guys...I know you want to pull out the shorts and sandals. So THINK SPRING!

See, now doesn't that just warm you up a little bit???
